The sport of WW2 Combat Action Shooting ™ (WW2 CAS™) was
born out of the desire to use real WW2 era weapons and
live ammunition against hard targets in a simulated
combat environment. WW2 CAS™ blends the excitement of a
WW2 reenactment and the skill of competitive shooting,
taking the hobby of WW2 re-enacting to a completely
different level!
WW2 CAS™ is a shooting sport in which participants
compete with arms used by Allied and Axis forces in
Europe and the Pacific between 1939 and 1945: What is
unique about WW2 CAS™ is the requirement placed on the
participants to use the correct WW2 uniforms, equipment,
and weapons when engaged in competition. Using the
correct uniforms and combat equipment helps promote an
appreciation of WW2 history and an understanding of
“why” soldiers did things the way they did. As WW2 CAS™
members, you will join others that share a common
interest in preserving the history of the individual
combat soldier in WW2, educating yourself about people
of that time period and enjoying the spirit of
competitive shooting. Each WW2 CAS™ event features a
variety of scenarios in which the individual or squad
negotiate obstacles, engage targets and test their
skills in tactical situations while conquering the ever
present element of time.
